Membership 

The Santa Monica Bar Association founded in 1928 currently has over 200 members; most of whom live and work in Santa Monica and the Westside.  We offer continuing education credits, monthly section lunch programs, opportunities to highlight your firm in our quarterly newsletter, special events with our local judiciary, and many other networking opportunities. Membership is on an annual basis, accrued in the month you join.  We pride ourselves in offering a unique opportunity for local businesses, local judiciary and local lawyers to get together and build relationships.

The Santa Monica Bar Association is pleased to offer a successful Lawyer Referral Service to the community of Santa Monica and surrounding area.  The LRS program is a California State certified program (certificate # 0066) and meets the American Bar Association standards.  We have a variety of needs from calls relating to probate, family law, divorce, personal injury, auto accidents, landlord and tenant issues, immigration, tax or job discrimination, child custody, arrests and other criminal offenses, to name a few.  The LRS service receives over 100 calls a month and makes an average of 30 referrals a month.  The rigorous screening process conducted by our trained staff is of great benefit to our lawyers who participate in the program.  To join our LRS program click here.
