Annual Fall Dinner & Installation of Officers with special guest speaker, Honorable Alex Kozinski, Chief Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit May 26, 2011 Santa Monica Bar Association and The Association of Surfing Lawyers held a "Anatomy of a Civil Trial" program. Prominent trial attorneys and Judges spoke on the subjects of pre-trial and trial skills. The event took place at the Working Village in Santa Monica with over a 100 in attendance. Santa Monica Bar Association celebrated its Annual Judges Night with over 130 in attendance at the Loews in Santa Monica. A special thank you to over 26 Judges who joined us for the delightful evening, including newly appointed Hon. Hahn, and Hon. Biderman for all of his assistance. Looking foward to next year. October 13, 2010 Santa Monica Bar Association celebrated its Installation of Officers at the Fall Dinner event at the Loews in Santa Monica. Our guest speaker was Dean Erwin Chemerinsky, a prominent constitutional scholar. Mr. Chemerinsky addressed current trends in the United States Supreme Court. This program was co-sponsored by the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
October 14, 2009 Santa Monica Bar Association held its annual dinner and installation of officers to a packed room at the Sheraton Delfina Hotel on October 14. The Honorable Charles W. McCoy, Presiding Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court addressed the state of the Superior Court, the current financial crisis, the affect on our law practices, the furlough program, and what is expected to take place over the next ten months. It was a very interesting and enlightening evening. We are grateful to over 15 Judges that attended the event and especially to Judge McCoy for taking their time to be with us. July 22, 2009 More than 50 people attending our annual summer BBQ at the home of Sandra Polin in Pacific Palisades. The Food, Networking and Fellowship was one of the best times!
