The Santa Monica Bar Association was founded in 1928. It provides its members, the courts, and the community-at-large with a variety of services, activities and commitments. Through its lecture series addressing thought-provoking topics, the Bar strives to feature inspiring speakers of legal renown in the local, national and international communities.

Samoshel
The Bar has worked with Public Counsel since 1994 to staff the monthly legal clinic at Samoshel, OPCC's homless shelter in Santa Monica. We are at the shelter the 3rd Thursday of each month. The remaining dates for 2008 are 6/19, 7/17, 8/21, 9/18, 10/16, 11/20, 12/18.
